Is SunPump still active in 2026?
Yes. SunPump remains an active meme-token launchpad in the SUN.io ecosystem. SUN.io's March 2026 whitepaper describes it as the first meme-token launchpad dedicated to the TRON network, and the current developer documentation still publishes its mainnet contracts, creation flow, bonding-curve trading and SunSwap migration rules.
The original review called SunPump the “world's first” fair-launch meme platform. That was promotional wording, not a defensible historical first: Pump.fun was already operating on Solana before SunPump's August 2024 launch. The more accurate description is TRON-focused meme-token launchpad.
| Item | Status verified 13 August 2026 |
|---|---|
| Platform | Active at sunpump.meme and documented by SUN.io. |
| Network | TRON mainnet. |
| Launch model | No presale or team allocation in the standard launch contract; trading starts on a bonding curve. |
| Published creation fee | Approximately 20 TRX. |
| Published bonding-curve trading fee | 1% per trade. |
| Graduation | At 100% of the curve, the documentation says roughly 100,000 TRX and the remaining 200 million tokens move to SunSwap V2, with about 3,000 TRX deducted as the liquidity-addition fee. |
| SUN relationship | SUN is SUN.io's separate governance and utility token; SunPump is not itself a token called “SUNPUMP.” |
| Main risk | Permissionless meme coins can be copied, manipulated or abandoned even when the launchpad contract works as designed. |
SunPump vs SUN: what is the difference?
SunPump is an application; SUN is a separate TRC-20 token used across SUN.io. A meme coin launched on SunPump is not automatically SUN, backed by SUN or endorsed by the SUN.io team. Likewise, buying SUN does not give a holder ownership of every token created on SunPump.
The canonical SUN contract on TRON is TSSMHYeV2uE9qYH95DqyoCuNCzEL1NvU3S. Check the full address because anyone can copy the SUN name, ticker and logo.
SUN.io says 100% of SunPump protocol revenue is now used to buy SUN and later burn it. That creates an economic link between the product and SUN, but a buyback-and-burn policy does not guarantee higher price, trading liquidity or investment returns.
How does SunPump work?
- A creator launches a token. The current form accepts a name, ticker, description and image, with optional website and social links. The creator can make an initial purchase in the launch transaction.
- Trading begins on a bonding curve. Buyers send TRX and receive tokens at a price calculated by the curve; the price changes with supply and demand. Sellers can return tokens to the curve while that market remains active.
- The token can graduate. When the curve reaches 100%, the contract moves the remaining tokens and TRX liquidity to SunSwap V2. Trading then takes place through a decentralized-exchange pool rather than the original curve.
- Market conditions take over. Graduation does not guarantee deep liquidity, lasting volume, a reliable team or a rising price. A pool can still become illiquid or heavily imbalanced.
SunPump displays a creator address, price, market capitalization, virtual or actual liquidity, 24-hour volume and transaction history. These fields help with research, but they are not a security review. The official interface defaults to 5% slippage, which can be expensive in a fast or manipulated market; users should set the lowest workable tolerance and inspect the wallet quote before signing.
What are SunPump's fees?
The current SUN.io documentation publishes the following baseline. Values labelled “approximately” can vary with contract parameters or the TRX/USD exchange rate, so the wallet preview and current documentation take precedence over an article.
- Token creation: approximately 20 TRX.
- Bonding-curve trades: 1% of each trade.
- Graduation: approximately 3,000 TRX is deducted from the curve as the liquidity-addition fee when about 100,000 TRX and the remaining 200 million tokens are moved to SunSwap V2.
- After graduation: SunSwap V2 currently charges 0.3% per swap, rather than SunPump's 1% bonding-curve fee.
- TRON network resources: contract interactions consume Bandwidth and Energy. If the wallet does not have enough, TRX is burned to cover the resource cost. This cost is separate from SunPump's protocol fee.
“No deposit or withdrawal fee” should not be read as “free transaction.” SunPump is a self-custody application rather than a custodial exchange account, but approvals, buys and sells are still on-chain contract calls with resource costs.
Is SunPump safe?
SunPump's current official contracts and transparent on-chain trading reduce some launch-process risks, but they do not make its meme coins safe investments. The absence of a presale and reserved team allocation prevents one specific distribution method. It does not stop a creator, coordinated group or bot from buying early, spreading holdings across wallets, promoting misleading claims or selling into later buyers.
Before buying any SunPump token:
- Open SunPump only from the official SUN.io documentation or a carefully typed
sunpump.memeaddress; sponsored search results and support messages can be phishing links. - Match the complete token contract, not just its name and ticker. Lookalike tokens are easy to create.
- Inspect the creator address, earliest buyers, top holders and transfers on TRONSCAN. Several related-looking wallets can conceal concentrated control.
- Check actual liquidity and recent sell transactions. A displayed market capitalization is not cash available for holders to exit.
- Distinguish virtual liquidity during the curve from actual SunSwap pool reserves after graduation.
- Use a separate wallet with a limited amount of TRX, review token approvals and never share a seed phrase or private key.
- Set maximum spend, minimum output and slippage deliberately. A failed or front-run transaction may still consume network resources.
- Assume social claims, roadmaps and celebrity branding are unverified unless independently confirmed.
What does SUN and veSUN do?
SUN is the SUN.io ecosystem's governance and utility token. Users can lock SUN for between 26 weeks and four years to receive non-transferable veSUN. The amount declines as the unlock date approaches; a four-year lock initially produces veSUN at a 1:1 ratio.
According to the current documentation, veSUN can vote on liquidity-mining weights, boost eligible liquidity-mining rewards by up to 2.5 times and receive a proportional share of 50% of weekly stablecoin-pool fees in TUSD. Locking is a long commitment: the token price, reward rules, pool activity and smart-contract risks can change before the unlock date.
Corrections to the original August 2024 review
- SunPump was not the world's first meme-coin fair-launch platform; SUN.io now describes it as the first launchpad dedicated to TRON.
- SunPump is not accurately written as “SunPump ($SUN).” The launchpad and SUN token are related but distinct.
- “No team allocation” does not prevent concentration because creators, bots and coordinated wallets can purchase tokens.
- A bonding curve provides a deterministic price rule; it does not make a token economically fair or resistant to manipulation.
- The statement that SunPump launched “11 days ago” and generated $1 million was a time-stamped 2024 observation, not a current safety metric.
- No known hack is not proof of safety. Token quality, wallet security, phishing, holder concentration, slippage and exit liquidity remain separate risks.
- SunPump's published fees are still documented, but network resource costs and parameters should always be checked in the transaction preview.
Original August 2024 SunPump review (historical archive)
The review below is preserved substantially as published so readers can see the original analysis. Relative-time, revenue, “world's first,” safety and distribution claims are historical and should be read with the corrections above.
SunPump ($SUN) is the world’s first platform dedicated to the fair launch and trading of meme coins, offering a user-friendly, low-cost, and secure environment for creators and traders on the TRON network. The SunPump platform is part of SUN.io, Tron’s first decentralized autonomous platform integrating stablecoin and token exchanges whilst supporting liquidity mining. Here is our review on everything you wanted to know about SunPump ($SUN).
What is SunPump?
SunPump is a platform on TRON that facilitates the fair launch and trading of meme coins. It offers creators an accessible, low-cost way to create their own meme coins in a secure and user-friendly environment. Here are SunPump’s main features:
- One-click token generation: Users can easily create meme coins by providing a token name, symbol, image, and paying a small fee.
- Bonding curve mechanism: SunPump adjusts prices based on token supply, ensuring fairness and transparency.
- Instant market access: Newly created tokens are immediately listed, allowing seamless buying and selling.
- Liquidity and token burn: When a token’s market cap meets specific criteria, SunPump injects liquidity funds into SunSwap and executes a token burn.
- Transparency: All transactions are public, allowing users to monitor activity. Additionally, SunPump has introduced a gas fee reduction program to make participation more accessible.
Fees
SunPump charges its fees at a very competitive rate for both meme coin creators and traders. SunPump fees are as follows:
- Trading fee: There is a 1% trading fee on transactions conducted on the SunPump platform.
- Creation fee: SunPump charges a creation fee of around 20 $TRX for launching a memecoin on the platform.
- Liquidity fee: When a project reaches 100% of the Bonding Curve, the smart contract will automatically add around 100,000 TRX and 200 million tokens to the SunSwap V2 liquidity pool, deducting about 3,000 TRX as a liquidity addition fee.
- Deposit/withdrawal fees: SunPump does not charge any additional deposit/withdrawal fees aside from the usual gas fees for blockchain transactions.
What is the SUN.io ($SUN) token?
The SUN.io ($SUN) token is the platform’s native token. As a governance token, $SUN grants holders voting rights to influence the platform’s direction, including decisions on upgrades and protocol updates. The $SUN token can also be locked up to earn veSUN rewards. In turn, holding veSUN entitles to multiple rewards such as TUSD rewards, accelerated liquidity pool mining and voting rights to decide the weights of liquidity pools.
How does SunPump work?
SunPump’s main features for traders are they they provide a secure and verifiable token contract, with no presale and no team allocation. You can trade on SunPump in 5 simple steps as follows:
- Explore Meme Coins: Visit the SunPump platform and browse through the available meme coins.
- Select a Coin: Choose the meme coin that interests you the most.
- Purchase Tokens: Use the Bonding Curve mechanism on the platform to buy tokens.

Is SunPump safe?
SunPump launched just 11 days ago on the Tron network, has already generated over $1 million in revenue. While SunPump itself hasn’t been hacked, remember that investing in highly volatile meme tokens carries risks, so users may want to always be cautious.
Conclusion: Pros and Cons of SunPump
SunPump ($SUN) is a world’s first platform on TRON that facilitates the fair launch and trading of meme coins. Here are some of SunPump’s main pros and cons.
Pros
- One-Click Token Generation: Creators can easily create meme coins by providing a token name, symbol, image, and paying a small fee.
- No token presale: The benefit of no token presale means the token launch is more fair and allows for wider community participation.
- No team allocation: This prevents concentration of pair and ensures a fairer ecosystem. In addition, it means team members are motivated to work for the project’s success without a guaranteed allocation and will only be rewarded on the project’s performance.
- Bonding Curve Mechanism: SunPump adjusts prices based on token supply, ensuring fairness and transparency.
- Instant Market Access: Newly created tokens are immediately listed for seamless buying and selling.
- Transparency: All transactions are public, allowing users to monitor activity.
- Gas Fee Reduction Program: SunPump introduced the gas fee reduction program to make participation more accessible.
Cons
- Inherent Risks: Meme coins can be subject to price manipulation and fraudulent activities such as hacks.
- Costs: SunPump charges a creation fee for launching meme coins, and there’s a 1% trading fee on transactions.
- Space for Improvement: While successful, SunPump may need ongoing enhancements to address challenges. However, SunPump has only recently launched so it’s expected they will continuously improve on their platform.

Frequently asked questions
Is SunPump still active in 2026?
Yes. SUN.io's March 2026 whitepaper and current technical documentation continue to list SunPump as its TRON meme-token launchpad and publish active mainnet contracts and user flows.
Is SunPump the same as the SUN token?
No. SunPump is a token-launch application. SUN is the separate SUN.io governance and utility token used across its broader DeFi ecosystem.
What is the official SUN token contract?
The canonical SUN TRC-20 contract is TSSMHYeV2uE9qYH95DqyoCuNCzEL1NvU3S on TRON. Always verify the entire address.
How much does it cost to create a token on SunPump?
The current official documentation says the creation fee is approximately 20 TRX, plus any applicable TRON Bandwidth or Energy cost. Check the wallet preview before signing.
What is the SunPump trading fee?
SunPump documents a 1% fee for trades during the bonding-curve stage. After a token graduates to SunSwap V2, that protocol currently charges a 0.3% swap fee.
What happens when a SunPump token graduates?
At 100% of the bonding curve, the contract moves roughly 100,000 TRX and the remaining 200 million tokens to a SunSwap V2 pool, deducting approximately 3,000 TRX as the liquidity-addition fee.
Does no presale or team allocation make a SunPump token fair?
It removes those two allocation routes, but it does not prevent creators, bots or coordinated wallets from buying early and concentrating supply. Holder and transaction analysis is still necessary.
Can a SunPump meme coin still be a scam?
Yes. A standard launch contract cannot verify off-chain promises, social accounts or future development. Tokens can be impersonated, manipulated, abandoned or left with too little liquidity to sell.
What is veSUN?
veSUN is obtained by locking SUN for 26 weeks to four years. It can provide governance votes, eligible liquidity-mining boosts and a share of specified stablecoin-pool fees under current rules.
Does SunPump revenue guarantee the SUN price will rise?
No. SUN.io says SunPump protocol revenue is used to buy and burn SUN, but burns do not guarantee demand, liquidity, price appreciation or investment returns.
