Boxmining is an independent crypto and AI publication. We cover coins, exchanges, trading, airdrops, and the AI tools reshaping the space — written for the person who just installed their first wallet, not the person who already has one.
Editorial standards
Every guide and review on Boxmining follows the same three rules:
- Beginner-first. We assume you just opened your first wallet yesterday. If a term needs explaining, it gets explained — not glossed over.
- Check before you publish. We don't run anything we haven't actually used. Reviews are based on the platform, not the press kit.
- No paid placements in editorial. Sponsored content, if we accept any, is clearly labelled. Affiliate links are disclosed at the top of the page.
Corrections: if we get something wrong, we fix it and leave a note. Email corrections@boxmining.com.
Team
Boxmining was founded in 2017 by Michael Gu, a Bitcoin miner since 2012. We are a small team of writers, traders, and engineers based mostly in Asia. See the authors page for the full roster.
How we work
We started Boxmining as a YouTube channel and expanded into written guides, exchange reviews, and airdrop coverage as our community grew. Today we publish across YouTube, this website, X, Telegram, and Discord.
Our editorial process: the writer tests the product, drafts the article, and a second pair of eyes checks it for accuracy and beginner-clarity before publish. We update guides when protocols change, and we version-date every page so you can see how fresh the information is.
Funding
Boxmining is independently funded. Revenue comes from three sources: affiliate links to exchanges and wallets we already recommend, display advertising on the site, and — occasionally — sponsored content that is clearly labelled as such. We do not accept payment in exchange for coverage.
Affiliate links never change our editorial verdict. If a product is bad, we say so regardless of the commission rate.

Michael Gu
Michael Gu, Creator of Boxmining, stared in the Blockchain space as a Bitcoin miner in 2012. Something he immediately noticed was that accurate information is hard to come by in this space. He started Boxmining in 2017 mainly as a passion project, to educate people on digital assets and share his experiences. Being based in Asia, Michael also found a huge discrepancy between digital asset trends and knowledge gap in the West and China.
