Our Mission

Editorial Independence

Our editorial independence is our greatest asset, enabling us to produce content without external influence. To safeguard this independence, our editorial team follows a strict code of conduct:

• We do not accept gifts, services, travel, fees, or special treatment in exchange for favorable coverage. Any material support that is necessary for a review or event is disclosed to readers.
• We do not agree to preconditions for coverage that dictate content.
• We do not allow subjects to preview or approve interview questions or review content prior to publication.

• We normally pay our own reporting expenses. If travel, access or accommodation is provided by another party, that support must be disclosed and does not grant editorial control.

Professional Conduct

Our team uses the Society of Professional Journalists’ Code of Ethics as a reference. We are dedicated to truthful reporting, protecting sources, minimizing harm, acting independently, and being accountable for corrections. The SPJ code is guidance rather than a legal rule or a substitute for our own judgment.

Boxmining maintains rigorous sourcing practices, with clear communication about our methods and a commitment to protecting confidentiality when necessary. For communications professionals or individuals speaking in an official capacity, we apply the following standards:

On the Record

By default, all statements are considered “on the record,” meaning we may quote you and attribute your identity. Corporate representatives are expected to communicate on the record unless a compelling reason is provided.

On Background

“On background” allows us to use information without directly identifying you, using descriptors like “industry insider” or “company spokesperson.” This requires mutual agreement, and we do not accept unilateral declarations of background status.

Off the Record

“Off the record” means information shared cannot be used in our reporting unless independently verified. This also requires explicit agreement, and we rarely grant off-the-record status to corporate representatives without strong justification.

Advertising

Commercial arrangements do not give an advertiser, sponsor or affiliate the right to dictate editorial conclusions. Paid placements and sponsored material are kept distinct from editorial work and clearly labeled as advertising, “Sponsored,” “Paid Content,” “Advertiser Content,” or “Presented by” the named sponsor.

Some content and interface elements include affiliate links, through which Boxmining may earn a commission at no additional cost to the reader. We place a plain-language disclosure close to an affiliate recommendation or link, not only on this policy page. Affiliate compensation does not guarantee coverage, a favorable rating or inclusion in a comparison. We use the FTC Endorsement Guides as a disclosure reference where applicable.

Distributed Platforms

Boxmining’s content is shared across multiple platforms, including our website, Twitter, YouTube, and others. Our editorial standards apply uniformly across all platforms. Sponsored content on these platforms is clearly marked as “Presented by” or “Paid Content.”

Corrections and Updates

If errors occur, we correct the inaccurate information and make a correction clear when the change is material. For older guides, we may preserve the original text as a labeled historical archive and add a dated current-status section so readers can distinguish the two. Content may be removed if it violates intellectual property rights, applicable law or safety requirements, with appropriate review.

Reviews

Our reviews aim to provide honest, independent evaluations of products, services or projects in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space. We may receive temporary access, review units or services for evaluation; any material benefit is disclosed. Payment cannot purchase an editorial review or its conclusion. We may respect an agreed embargo, but a subject cannot approve the final review.

Personal Investing

Other Employment

Boxmining staff may not work for or receive compensation from companies they cover, nor hold advisory roles at such entities. Freelance work for other publications requires approval from our editor-in-chief.
