CESS has changed materially since this guide was published. A BEP-20 version of the CESS token launched in June 2025, while the project's native mainnet remains a future roadmap item. The old DeShare and Interstellar pages can still be reached, but access to a task page does not prove that its points have a current cash value or that a new claim is open.

Test tokens	Testnet CESS is for testing and is not the listed BEP-20 asset. Do not buy a faucet token or assume a test balance can be withdrawn as market-traded CESS.

Can you still earn a CESS airdrop?

CESS continues to publish testnet incentives, but the old DeShare walkthrough below is not evidence of a currently claimable allocation. Start from the official CESS Earn page, read the rules for the specific round, and record the campaign name and deadline. Points, test tokens and leaderboard positions are not the same as freely transferable CESS unless CESS publishes a conversion and claim process.

Node participation is a different activity from completing social tasks. CESS's documentation describes storage, consensus, retrieval and caching rewards, but the public site still distinguishes current testing from the future native mainnet. Running a node can require hardware, bandwidth, uptime and stake, and the documented model includes missed rewards and possible slashing. Do not treat projected token output as guaranteed profit.

File privacy warning: Do not follow the old instruction to upload “any file.” DeShare describes itself as a permanent-storage URL generator and returns a file identifier and sharing URL. Treat anything uploaded as potentially retrievable by other people. Never upload seed phrases, private keys, identity documents, account exports, personal photos, client data or confidential work merely to earn campaign points.

Wallet and account safety: Use only cess.network or links reached from a maintained CESS channel. Never provide a seed phrase, private key or remote access to support. If a task requests an exchange UID, KYC confirmation or social login, check the current privacy terms and decide whether the speculative reward justifies the data disclosure. A legitimate claim should not require an advance “unlock” payment.

Did the CESS token launch?
