Is the SpartaDEX SPARTA airdrop still active?
No. The testnet and launch airdrop described in the original April 2023 guide are over. SpartaDEX launched its Arbitrum mainnet and SPARTA token on 3 August 2023. Its lockdrop distributed SPARTA to users who supplied and time-locked eligible liquidity; the final 52-week locks ended in 2024.
Do not use spartadex.io, app.spartadex.io or docs.spartadex.io as wallet interfaces. During this review, all three resolved to unrelated OJA89 gambling/commerce content rather than the historical SpartaDEX application. Boxmining has removed active links to those hosts. A familiar domain name is not proof that the original team still controls its content.

What happened to the SPARTA airdrop?
Before launch, SpartaDEX promised SPARTA to eligible Spartan NFT holders. It then used a lockdrop to bootstrap mainnet liquidity: participants locked selected LP positions for a chosen duration and received SPARTA. This was not a permanent faucet or open-ended claim.
In its first-anniversary update on 3 August 2024, the project said the lockdrop's final phase had concluded and the 52-week participants' funds had returned to their wallets. It also announced “SPARTA 3.0,” proposing to burn 60.25 million SPARTA from ecosystem, team, development, marketing, operational and DAO pools, leaving 37.85 million as fully unlocked circulating supply. The post described two million SPARTA from the DAO pool as the last planned staked-SPARTA leaderboard reward.
Those announcements supersede the original guide's statement that token allocation was unpublished. None supports buying an old Spartan NFT, completing the expired Galxe quest or using the Polygon testnet to earn SPARTA now.
What was SpartaDEX and SpartaAI?
SpartaDEX combined an automated market maker on Arbitrum with a real-time strategy game. Users supplied liquidity, minted a Polis NFT, upgraded an ancient-Greece-themed city and used game progress to influence liquidity incentives. The ecosystem later emphasised SpartaPad launchpad sales.
In late 2024, the project's social account described a governance proposal to rebrand SpartaDEX as Sparta Ancient Intelligence (SpartaAI) and add social AI agents while retaining the launchpad, DEX and game. A social-profile name change is not evidence that an application remains operational or safe. With the old web domain serving unrelated content and no authenticated replacement frontend found, users should treat the interface as unavailable.
What should SPARTA, LP and NFT holders do?
- Do not connect to the old domain. This includes the root site and the app, docs, testnet and lockdrop subdomains.
- Inspect assets directly on Arbiscan. Confirm balances, token contracts, LP contracts and transaction history without granting wallet permissions.
- Do not send assets to a migration address. Boxmining found no authenticated current migration or recovery procedure.
- Check whether an LP position still has underlying reserves. An LP token balance is not proof that both assets can be withdrawn at a useful value.
- Review stale approvals. Revoke allowances to routers, farms or staking contracts only after confirming that doing so will not block a legitimate withdrawal already in progress.
- Treat off-chain NFT metadata as fragile. The Polis contract's metadata originally pointed to
app.spartadex.io; if that endpoint is unavailable or repurposed, images and game-state presentation can fail even though ownership remains on-chain. - Do not buy an NFT for an old airdrop. Eligibility was tied to the launch programme and cannot be recreated after the snapshot and distribution.
- Ignore support direct messages. No helper needs a seed phrase, private key or remote-access session.
How to verify the correct SPARTA token
Search the exact Arbitrum contract 0x11F98c7E42A367DaB4f200d2fDc460fB445cE9a8 on Arbiscan. Do not confuse SpartaDEX's token with Spartan Protocol's separate SPARTA token on BNB Chain or any same-name asset. A logo, ticker and token name can be copied by anyone.
An authentic contract does not make a purchase safe. Check holder concentration, current liquidity, pool reserves, trading volume, contract permissions and whether a viable exit exists. Thin or abandoned liquidity can produce a displayed price that cannot be realised.
Corrections to the original April 2023 guide
- The “testnet LIVE NOW” headline expired years ago; Polygon Mumbai is no longer a supported current test network.
- SPARTA launched on Arbitrum in August 2023 and the associated launch airdrop/lockdrop ended.
- Buying a Spartan NFT today does not qualify a wallet for the historical token drop.
- The original suggestion to interact with a later mainnet for a “chance” at the airdrop is no longer valid.
- The six-year ecosystem-emission schedule was overtaken by the 2024 SPARTA 3.0 burn plan.
- “Real Yield” was a project label and did not guarantee profit, token value or sustainable revenue.
- The unrelated pharmaceutical link inserted in the archived airdrop review was a spam/import defect and has been removed.
- The former project domain is no longer safe to recommend and all active links to it have been deactivated.

The guide below is preserved substantially as published. Its testnet, Galxe, NFT-purchase and airdrop instructions are expired. Former SpartaDEX domains and an injected spam link have been deactivated for safety.
What is SpartaDex?
SpartaDex is a unique concept of decentralized exchange with implemented gaming layer, built on Arbitrum. It allows users to build their Spartan settlement, gather resources, recruit an army and conquer barbarian territories. The yield and profits are directly related to the user’s progress through the game.
SpartaDex incentivizes liquidity providers of whitelisted pools with their native $SPARTA token. Providing liquidity to selected pairs of partner projects also rewards in the project token.
Does SpartaDex Have a Token?
Yes, SpartaDEX has a native token called $SPARTA. The project team has announced on Twitter that there will be a $SPARTA token airdrop for the community.
How to Get the $SPARTA Token Airdrop?
The best chance to get the $SPARTA token airdrop is to (1) hold a Spartan NFT and (2) interact with the app:
- The project team had confirmed that Spartan NFT holders were eligible for future airdrops. All NFTs had been minted already and were available on a secondary marketplace.
- The SpartaDex testnet was live on Polygon Mumbai. Only whitelisted addresses were able to interact with it (those who completed the Galxe campaign). Its mainnet was expected to launch on Arbitrum later that year and open to the public. Those who missed the whitelist opportunity could then interact with the game for a chance to get the airdrop.
Airdrop Review
When reviewing an airdrop, there are several factors to consider. First, the likelihood the project will even do an airdrop in the first place. Then, to look at how many tokens the project intends to allocate towards airdrop campaigns, as well as the difficulty in participating in their airdrop. It is also important to look at the utility of the token so that there will be an actual use and purpose in participating in the airdrop in the first place. Finally, a factor to consider when reviewing an airdrop is whether the airdropped tokens are subject to any lockup period.
Likelihood of Airdrop: SpartaDex has confirmed a $SPARTA token airdrop for Spartan NFT holders and early app users once the token is launched.
Airdropped Token Allocation: The project team has not yet published details of the airdropped token allocation.
Airdrop Difficulty: Consider purchasing a Spartan NFT if you are prepared to maintain ownership over an extended period; otherwise, it may not be a valuable investment.
Token Utility: Staking $SPARTA provides Real Yield, which comes not only from commissions earned by the exchange but also from income generated by game-related microtransactions.
Token Lockup: Tokens allocated to ecosystem rewards will follow a 72-month linear vesting with halving mechanism. On the other hand, tokens allocated to the project team and advisors will follow a 6-month cliff and an 18-month linear vesting.
Frequently asked questions
Is the SpartaDEX airdrop still active?
No. The 2023 testnet and launch distribution ended, SPARTA launched on Arbitrum, and the final lockdrop positions concluded in 2024.
Is the SpartaDEX website safe to use?
No current wallet use is recommended. In August 2026, the former site and app/docs subdomains served unrelated OJA89 gambling and commerce content. Do not connect or sign there.
What is the official SpartaDEX SPARTA contract?
The historical SpartaDEX token contract on Arbitrum One is 0x11F98c7E42A367DaB4f200d2fDc460fB445cE9a8.
Can I buy a Spartan NFT to get the old airdrop?
No. Buying an NFT after the historical eligibility and distribution does not create retroactive airdrop rights.
Can I still use the SpartaDEX testnet?
The 2023 Polygon Mumbai testnet is obsolete, and the former project subdomain is untrusted. Do not use the archived testnet instructions.
What was the SpartaDEX lockdrop?
Users locked eligible liquidity positions for chosen periods to bootstrap Arbitrum mainnet liquidity and receive SPARTA. The project said the final 52-week locks ended in August 2024.
What was SPARTA 3.0?
It was an August 2024 token-economic reset that proposed burning 60.25 million SPARTA and leaving 37.85 million as fully unlocked circulating supply.
Did SpartaDEX rebrand to SpartaAI?
The project's social account described a governance proposal and rebrand to Sparta Ancient Intelligence, adding AI agents while retaining the DEX, game and launchpad concept. No safe current product frontend was verified.
Is SpartaDEX SPARTA the same as Spartan Protocol SPARTA?
No. SpartaDEX's SPARTA is an Arbitrum token. Spartan Protocol uses a separate same-ticker token associated with BNB Chain. Always compare contract addresses.
What should I do with an old SpartaDEX LP or NFT?
Inspect it directly on Arbiscan, identify the exact contract and underlying reserves, and do not use an unofficial recovery site. Treat Polis metadata as potentially unavailable because it referenced the old app domain.
