Helios airdrop status in 2026

Helios has confirmed an airdrop, but it has not launched mainnet or opened a token claim. The official testnet FAQ says XP and level will be key inputs for eligibility and allocation. The current documentation still calls the environment a pre-mainnet testnet, and no TGE date, snapshot date, claim window or official token contract was verified as of 13 August 2026.

The active Helios testnet uses chain ID 42000. We independently confirmed that its official RPC returned that chain ID during this review. Helios documentation also displays provisional mainnet settings for chain ID 4242, but says the details will be updated once live; the listed mainnet RPC did not resolve. Do not mistake a wallet-network entry for a mainnet launch.

How to farm the Helios testnet airdrop

Helios's old onboarding URL currently returns 404 even though the testnet RPC, Portal and documentation remain active. Begin with the official Helios testnet Hub and use only interfaces it links.

  1. Create a separate test wallet. Use an EVM wallet that does not hold important mainnet assets. Store its recovery phrase offline and never enter it into a faucet, form or website.
  2. Add the verified testnet. Use chain ID 42000, RPC https://testnet1.helioschainlabs.org and the official explorer linked in the Hub.
  3. Open the official Portal. Visit portal.helioschain.network, connect the burner wallet and verify that the selected network is the testnet.
  4. Complete onboarding if available. The documented flow uses the Phaëton assistant, asks for a wallet-ownership signature and activates the XP dashboard.
  5. Claim testnet HELIOS. The faucet has a documented 24-hour cooldown. Testnet tokens have no monetary value and should never be bought.
  6. Complete the current daily quests. The live quest list may include delegation, governance votes, smart-contract interactions, transaction thresholds and Hyperion cross-chain queries.
  7. Use each core feature meaningfully. Test the Portal's validators, delegations, governance, bridge and developer tools only when a current quest or test objective calls for it.
  8. Track XP, tags and badges. Confirm every action appears in the official dashboard. Repeating a transaction outside a valid quest may produce no XP.
  9. Report genuine bugs. Useful test feedback is more defensible than spam transactions and can help distinguish a real contributor from Sybil farming.
  10. Wait for official snapshot and claim details. Do not connect to a token checker until the Helios Hub or verified social account publishes the exact domain.

The old Zealy and Discord-wallet instructions below should only be followed if the current Helios dashboard explicitly links the same campaign. Community tasks and invite URLs can expire or be replaced.

How Helios XP works

Helios says XP feeds directly into level, tag progression and airdrop eligibility. The published base system includes:

ActionPublished XP treatment
Complete onboarding1,000 XP
Refer a user who finishes onboarding1,000 XP
Referral's future activity5% of that user's earned XP
Complete a daily questVariable base reward plus 50%
Complete every daily questAdditional 3,000 XP
Stake, delegate, vote, bridge or reach thresholdsVariable or automatic

Tags can multiply future XP. Published examples range from 1.5x for deploying contracts or running a node to 2.5x for research activity, 3x for builders and higher multipliers for selected contributor or investor tags. Some tags are awarded manually, and stacking may apply.

Do not buy an “early NFT badge” solely for a multiplier without current terms. A paid badge introduces financial risk, does not guarantee an airdrop and may be sold by an impersonator. The official FAQ says badges are not yet NFTs by default, although some may become mintable later.

Helios Sybil rules and eligibility

Helios says it uses wallet validation, faucet cooldowns, behavioural scoring and backend checks to identify artificial farming. XP is awarded only when an action is valid, non-duplicative and satisfies the current task conditions.

Avoid self-referrals, scripted wallet clusters, circular transfers and repetitive spam. The FAQ promises that XP and level will be key factors, but does not guarantee that every wallet with XP qualifies or provide a fixed tokens-per-point conversion. Testnet resets can occur; Helios says XP, referral history and badges may be preserved for snapshots or later phases.

What is Helios?

Helios is an EVM-compatible Layer 1 under development around its Interchain Proof of Stake and Reputation (I-PoSR) design. It combines multi-asset security, onchain automation through Chronos and cross-chain operations through Hyperion modules.

Since the original article, Helios has repositioned itself as an “ETF-native” blockchain. Its current vision treats portfolios of cryptoassets, stablecoins and real-world assets as core network primitives, with automated rebalancing, yield and reputation-weighted governance. These features are project goals and testnet concepts until a production mainnet demonstrates them with real assets.

HELIOS tokenomics before mainnet

Current design documentation proposes:

  • an initial supply of 500 million HELIOS;
  • a nominal 5 billion-token cap that remains subject to governance adjustment;
  • governance-controlled inflation, with a stated operating range of 7% to 20%;
  • block-by-block issuance to validators and delegators; and
  • utility for gas, staking, governance, Hyperion activity and security collateral.

The same page gives phase examples of 15%, 12%, 5% and post-cap 1–3% inflation, so the parameters are not a simple immutable schedule. These are pre-launch economic specifications, not proof of a deployed token or current circulating supply.

The current official symbol is written as HELIOS in the Hub. The original article used “HLS” for faucet tokens. Do not buy any HLS or HELIOS token based solely on its name; there is no official tradable contract in the reviewed documentation.

Helios testnet and airdrop risks

  • Pre-launch risk: mainnet, TGE, allocation rules and dates can change or be delayed.
  • No-contract risk: a token sold as “official HELIOS” before a published contract is likely unrelated or fraudulent.
  • Broken-interface risk: the documented onboarding site currently returns 404 even while other components remain active.
  • Reset risk: testnet state can be wiped, and the documentation only says offchain progression may be preserved.
  • Sybil risk: spam, automation and linked wallet clusters can be filtered even after earning visible XP.
  • Privacy risk: linking wallet, Discord, referrals and behaviour creates a persistent cross-platform identity graph.
  • Paid-badge risk: buying an NFT or contributor badge is not a guaranteed return or allocation.
  • Cross-chain risk: even test environments can expose wallets to malicious approvals or copied bridge interfaces.
  • Tokenomics risk: the proposed cap and inflation rates are governance-adjustable and not yet proven in production.
  • Impersonation risk: many unrelated projects use the Helios name. Verify helioschain.network and its official Hub.

Project Overview: Helios Blockchain

Helios is a modular Layer 1 blockchain designed to address the limitations of fragmented ecosystems by focusing on seamless interoperability, on-chain automation, and long-term developer sustainability. It introduces an innovative framework built around its original consensus mechanism, Interchain Proof of Stake and Reputation (IPoSR). Unlike traditional Layer 1 chains that rely on singular token ecosystems, Helios allows validators to stake a variety of tokens from established ecosystems like Ethereum, Cosmos, and BNB Chain, thereby decentralizing control and enhancing network security.

One of the standout features of Helios is its bridge-free interoperability, enabling secure smart contract execution across multiple chains without the vulnerabilities associated with traditional bridge mechanisms. The network also incorporates Chronos Tasks, a built-in automation system that allows developers to program smart contracts with scheduled execution capabilities, making it suitable for decentralized applications (dApps) in DeFi, governance protocols, and AI-powered agents.

Helios aims to provide a compelling incentive model for developers through built-in revenue sharing, where smart contract creators automatically receive a portion of the gas fees generated by their deployed contracts. This protocol-level reward system is designed to provide a sustainable income stream for developers.

Helios Testnet Airdrop: Step-by-Step Guide

Interacting with the Helios Testnet is crucial for potentially qualifying for an airdrop. The testnet is designed to be gamified, where on-chain activities earn you XP and increase your level. Follow these steps to participate:

Step 1: Access the Helios Testnet Application

Navigate to the historical Helios Testnet application at testnet.helioschain.network.

Step 2: Connect Your Metamask Wallet (BURNER)

Upon accessing the testnet application, connect your Metamask wallet. It is highly recommended to use a burner wallet for testnet interactions to ensure the security of your main assets.

Step 3: Claim Faucet Tokens

Once your wallet is connected, claim HLS testnet tokens from the faucet. These tokens are essential for interacting with the chain, sending transactions, delegating, and voting on governance proposals.

Step 4: Claim Your Badge

After claiming faucet tokens, proceed to claim your badge. The Medium article mentions a tag system where tags like “Farmer” can multiply your XP.

Step 5: Explore the Helios Portal for On-Chain Actions

Go to the Helios Portal, which is the core interface for interacting with the blockchain. Here you can perform various on-chain actions:

  • Bridge Tokens: Transfer tokens across supported testnet chains (Ethereum Sepolia, Avalanche Fuji, BNB Testnet, Polygon Amoy).
  • Stake Tokens to Validators: Delegate your testnet tokens to validators.
  • Vote on Governance Proposals: Participate in governance by voting on proposals like asset weights or protocol upgrades.

Step 6: Repeat Daily

To maximize your XP and increase your chances for the airdrop, repeat the daily tasks on the testnet. The testnet is built like a game, and everything you do on-chain earns you XP and increases your level. There are daily missions and rewards for using the network as intended.

Step 7: Complete Helios on Zealy

After interacting with the testnet, complete the tasks on Zealy. This platform often hosts quests and bounties that contribute to your eligibility for airdrops. The original guide linked the Helios Blockchain questboard.

To fully participate in the testnet, you need to connect your wallet and your Discord account. This ensures XP tracking, role assignment, and airdrop eligibility. Join their Discord server and connect your wallet in the link-wallet channel.

Frequently asked questions
